“The world is a book, and those who don’t travel read only one page.” St Augustine

Dale is a firm believer in the value of travel.

Having had a small taste of it even as a young child, he said it was mind blowing to see how different the world is far from home.

“Travel enriches your life by giving you the opportunity to learn about other cultures,” says Dale. “By helping to understand others, it creates greater tolerance, and I think that’s more and more important in our world today.”

Dale and his wife Katherine made a conscious decision to take their young sons with them to see as much of the world as possible.

“I created my business in such a way that I’m able to step away from it every few months to take time out with my family,” says Dale. “Together we’ve travelled to 50 countries and visited hundreds of cities. We’re fortunate to be able to share so much of this amazing world with our boys.”

He regards travel as a great source of grounding too. “Most of us live comfortable lives where we never stop and think about all the conveniences and resources that we have,” says Dale. “When you travel and see that these are not a given in most places around the world, it makes you appreciate how fortunate we are. It fosters a sense of gratitude.”
