As someone who has had success in business, Dale Beaumont has always been conscious of giving back.

“I think when you’ve been blessed, it’s vital to do something productive with the time and money you have,” says Dale. “Apart from publishing books, keynote speaking and developing businesses, dedicating some of my skills or the profits of my work towards an important cause is something I like to do.”

One of the charities Dale and his wife Katherine actively support is ‘Hands Across the Water’.

Founded by Peter Baines, a former Australian forensic detective who witnessed firsthand the devastation caused by the 2004 Boxing Day tsunami, the charity supports children in Thailand who were orphaned by the tragic event.

In 2012, Dale and Katherine formed a partnership with Hands Across the Water. To further support this cause Dale took part in their major annual fundraiser, and rode 800km through Thailand on a bicycle.

Inspired by the experience, Dale led a group of 29 Business Blueprint clients who rode 500km in Thailand in 5 days during 2014. With personal commitments and the support of other businesses, Dale’s group raised over $180,000. This helped cover the cost of a new orphanage built to support kids living with HIV.

These rides have continued in 2015, 2016 and 2017, with the numbers growing bigger each and every year. In total, Dale and his Business Blueprint clients have now raised well over $2,000,000 for charity and they’ve now set further commitments for 2018 and beyond.
